C3 Support and Collaboration

 

Hi—I hope this email finds you well. My name is Marissa Altenburg, and I am a new Career Coach at the Career Connection Center (C3) which specializes in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts {primarily digital arts}, and Mathematics) pathways. I wanted to send out information regarding career fairs and programming that could be important to the student population you support.  

In addition, I wanted to reach out and say I am here to support your students and you with outreaches (coming to your space in-person or virtually, or y'all visiting the C3 space and presenting on career topics) and popup services (me coming to the space and doing express career appointments on the various career topics; sometimes with industry partners). Popup events can be in a classroom, in a lobby of a building, or wherever makes sense to reach students. 

Some career topics include 1. Choosing/Changing Your Major, 2. Exploring Career Options, 3. Finding/Discussing Your Career Interests, Strengths and Values, 4. Finding Meaningful Experience (Internship, Part-Time work, Shadowing, Volunteering, Research etc.), 5. Developing Your Network/Community (Networking, LinkedIn, Finding a Mentor), 6. Developing Your Resume, Cover Letter, Personal Statement or E-Portfolio, 7. Graduate School Exploration/Preparation, 8.Finding/Preparing for a Full-Time Job, and 9. Preparing for Interviews.
