  Hello EE majors,   I am involved in student government here at UF and wanted to reach out to see if the following email could be sent to your students!    “UF Student Government parties will be holding interviews to select this semester’s Student Government Senate Candidates from January 28th, 30th, 31st, and February 1st. The College of Engineering holds 4 seats in UF Senate and could use motivated and passionate students to run.   Being a senator involves controlling a $22 million dollar budget , which can be used to improve the university and even specific departments at UF.   The SFFG Academic Advising team is now hiring a Federal Work Study student assistant – work to begin ASAP in Spring 2022.  Remote work location acceptable.   Job Description– Work with SFFG Academic Advisors to update degree audits, respond to emails, name and file electronic paperwork, type letters for petitions, register students in SFFG courses, and any other computer-related or additional tasks needed to complete. Hourly Rate  – $10 (raises w/good performance) Hours Per Week – ~10 (up to 20, depending on seasonal workload); Flexible schedule Required Qualifications – FWS eligible only; Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, typing, digital file storage/maintenance Preferred Qualifications – Experience using MailChimp and/or Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) Confidentiality with student records is vital – FERPA Training required before any work may begin   HOW TO APPLY:  Please submit a brief cover letter and resume

Good Morning  EE Majors Here are my hours for the week,  https://ufl.instructure.com/calendar#view_name=month&view_start=2022-02-01 Please remember your appointment date and time Academic advising holds will be placed on students records on February 15,  2022.  You will be registering for summer and fall semester. The first step to clear advising holds is to complete your Advance Registration Online form,  https://ufl.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9ZV2grOxMi2nBVc .  The second step is to schedule a meeting time by appointment or through virtual open hours. I will begin clearing holds February 17, 2022    The schedule of courses will be posted at the end of February-beginning of March. Course Updates    For the catalog year 2020 and prior- EEL3850 will only count for the statistics requirement.       EEL3003 and EEL3287 do not count for degree requirements Summer 2022       Summer 2022 will be the last time EEL3923C will offer in the summer. Please make updates to your future schedule

Undergraduate Research Opportunity funded by ECE IDEA - ECE Scholars

  The ECE Scholars program connects students who have not previously had an undergraduate research experience to faculty labs in ECE. This includes, but is not restricted to, under-represented minority, female, and non-traditional students. (Demographic information is collected to make sure we are reaching all of our students, not for selection purposes.)   The selected students will be matched with an ECE faculty lab in their area of interest. The program will consist of undertaking a full research project primarily during the fall and spring semesters of the academic year, under the guidance of an ECE faculty member. This program is primarily for juniors and seniors but all ECE undergraduate students are eligible to apply. The deadline for the 2022 program is Friday, February 4, 2022.
