citizens for full-time Multidisciplinary Engineering positions at Hill Air
Force Base near Salt lake City, Utah. The following opportunities are all

Occupational Series 0830 – MECHANICAL
ENGINEER: Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering degree.

Series 0855 – ELECTRONICS ENGINEER: Typically an ELECTRICAL
ENGINEERING or COMPUTER
ENGINEERING degree.

Series 0861 – AEROSPACE ENGINEER: Aerospace
Engineering degree.

Series 0840 – NUCLEAR ENGINEER: Nuclear Engineering degree; certain Physics degrees may also qualify.

Series 0806 – MATERIALS ENGINEER: Materials Engineering degree.

Series 0893 – CHEMICAL ENGINEER: Chemical Engineering degree – not Chemistry.

Series 0801 – SYSTEMS ENGINEER: Industrial
& Systems or Aerospace & Systems Engineering degrees.
NOTE:
The AFNWC has interdisciplinary teams and therefore seeks top talent from
multiple engineering disciplines. The term “General Engineer” and the
federal occupational series “0801 General Engineering” are used when more than
one engineering discipline is suitable, or when no specific federal
occupational series exists.
